Use another view of search discovery
Bing Webmaster Tools gives site owners a way to manage site verification and review search-related information. Microsoft supports importing verified sites from Google Search Console, including eligible sitemap information. The import is a starting point; review the selected site and results instead of assuming that every property or page has been processed.
Submit and review the sitemap
A sitemap helps a search engine discover the URLs a site wants it to consider. Keep it aligned with public pages and review the tool’s status after submission. Submitting a sitemap is not proof that each URL is indexed, ranks or receives traffic. Resolve access and content issues separately.
Keep ChatGPT discovery claims precise
Bing and OpenAI have separate tools and crawling controls. OpenAI documents OAI-SearchBot for search discovery and distinguishes it from GPTBot. Allowing a crawler does not guarantee selection or citation in an answer. Bing registration should not be sold as a switch that makes a business appear in ChatGPT.
Build a useful, readable site
Use clear service explanations, accurate business information, descriptive headings and working internal links. Keep public content accessible to the crawlers you intend to allow while protecting private account and customer pages. Track submission, indexing and actual referrals as different events.
